Our trek to Kalsubai Peak, the highest peak in Maharashtra (5,400 ft), was an unforgettable adventure filled with challenges, breathtaking views, and a deep sense of accomplishment.
As avid trekkers, climbing Kalsubai had always been on our bucket list. We planned the trek in the monsoon season, knowing the trail would be lush green and misty. We packed essentials—good trekking shoes, raincoats, energy bars, and enough water to keep us hydrated.
We started our journey from Bari Village, the base for the trek, at dawn. The trail was steep, with rocky patches, narrow pathways, and slippery steps due to rain. Metal ladders placed at tricky sections made the climb easier but also added to the thrill. Despite the physical effort, the cool breeze and panoramic views of the Western Ghats kept us going.
After nearly three hours of climbing, we finally stood at the summit, next to the Kalsubai Temple, dedicated to the local deity. The view was magical—floating clouds, endless mountains, and the backwaters of Bhandardara Dam shining in the distance. We felt on top of the world!
Reaching the peak gave us an immense sense of achievement. The trek tested our endurance, but the reward was worth it. Standing at the highest point in Maharashtra, surrounded by nature’s beauty, we felt both powerful and humbled.
As we descended, we carried not just memories but also the confidence that no peak is too high to conquer. Kalsubai Peak Trek was not just a journey—it was a triumph! 🏔️🔥
